Garages, workshops and outbuildings
A proper supply to a garage, workshop or outbuilding, from the consumer unit, with sockets and lighting where you need them.
What we cover
Supplies we run
A supply from the house consumer unit to a garage, workshop or farm building, isolated at the far end and sized for what you will actually use.
01
From the house
A new circuit, in armoured cable where the run leaves the building.
- A new way from the house board
- Armoured cable on external runs
- Isolation at the outbuilding
02
Inside the building
Sockets and lighting once the supply is there, including three-phase where the incoming supply allows it.
- Sockets and lighting
- The load agreed before the cable is sized
- Three-phase where the supply allows it
How it works
From the house board to power in the building
A garage, workshop or farm outbuilding needs its own supply from the consumer unit, isolated at the far end, with sockets and lighting sized for what you will actually use.

Next step
A supply priced for how the building is used
Tell us whether it is a garage, a workshop or a farm building, and send a photo of the house consumer unit. If there is machinery, list it so the supply is sized for that load.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Power comes from the house consumer unit on a new circuit, isolated at the garage, with armoured cable where the run is outside.
Tell us what the workshop will run. We size the cable and the board for that load, and quote three-phase if the house supply can take it.
Yes. Agricultural buildings are included. Say what the building is for, and what equipment it has to run, so the supply matches that use.
The cable route is agreed up front. A trench, or a longer run outdoors, is included in the price rather than added once we arrive.
Yes. The new circuit is labelled at the house board, with isolation at the far end, so anyone opening either board can see what it feeds.
